| Life in Australia's major cities and towns is much the same. However, many miles divide them. The Aboriginals, Australia's first inhabitants, spoke about 500 different languages though and had many different lifestyles depending on where they lived. Today differences in lifestyles can still be found between city dwellers, country people or cattle ranches in the outback.
