| John Rott a Cattleman from Rockhampton, the Beef capital of Australia. John has over 1000 acre cattleranch with an airstrip and two houses. Many ranchers lease their land from the government. Most of the land was once used by the Aborigines, Australia's first inhabitants. In 1992 Australia's High Court overturned the doctrine of terra nullius or that Australia belonged to no one at the time of British settlement. For the first time the High Court acknowledged that Aborigines held a valid title to the land. |
