Young cattleman
In 1992 Australia's High Court ended the doctrine of ‘terra nullius’ or that Australia belonged to no one at the time of British settlement. Although the High Court ruled that Aboriginal title can coexist with the leases on which Australia's ranchers hold their properties at the same time it stated that in case of any conflict Aboriginal claims are subordinated to ranchers rights. While the High Courts decision protects ranchers who have leased the land for many generations it undermines Aboriginal rights and their use of the land. Here a young cattleman in Australia's Beef capital.
