In these days of deserted beaches, hotels and nightclubs, it became clear Bali's culture had moved on. It was still there and it seemed ever stronger than before, the dances, the gamelan music, the offerings and the rituals. A culture that makes every Balinese an artist (so there is no need for a special word for art or artist in the Balinese language) and that once started the myth of Bali as paradise on earth.
