Punta Cana, Dominican Republic: I was down in the DR on an assignment to photograph these ladies on vacation. So on my first day I drove around looking to get my bearings straight I found a local baseball diamond. To my surprise these kids played with such tattered equipment. Since these images were for myself I made Black and White images. Far fewer clients want Black & White images nowadays. It was great to see the intensity and vigor in these young athletes eyes. No shoes, no problem these kids played until it was so dark you couldn’t see the ball. Of course they all aspire to play Major League ball in the states.
