Everglades

Everglades, Florida: Every year I head out to the Tamiami Trail to attend the AAOF (Airboat Association of Florida’s) yearly picnic. It’s a great chance to be in the middle of nowhere. Sure the boats are noisy but it’s incredibly relaxing to glide through the saw grass with no traffic, I-95 or idiots honking their horns. Instead airboaters from all over Florida bring their boats for the annual poker run, BBQ and live music. Some of the boats go at least 60 miles and hour, translated to water it seems twice as fast as on land. Especially, because there are no brakes on the boats.
