Biscayne Boulevard

Biscayne Boulevard in Miami, Florida: This set of images was made for HOME magazine. My assignment was to photograph a rapidly transitioning neighborhood that was just selected to become historical. The best way for me to get to know a neighborhood is to walk it’s streets. It wasn’t long before I met many interesting locals. A security guard at a local motel helped me gain access to the old Vagabond. The pool had tile mosaic of dolphins. I even met some people on their way to church. This assignment was a fantastic opportunity to spend time in my own community and see how it is changing first hand.
