| The Goalie |
| Field Hockey is known for having many rules. The goalie is the only player who may use any part of her body to save a shot. However when the goalie is outside the striking circle (a semi-circle measured out 16 yards from each goal post. A goal can only be scored from a shot taken within this semi-circle) like any other field hockey player she has to use her stick to touch the ball. Photograph © 2002 Andrew Kaufman. |
