What do you write? Are you in a crew?

I'm a street artist so I don't write but I do go by FOREVERLOST or 4EVRLOST and I don't do throwies. I spread viruses. I don't really have a crew but me and a couple of other artists are working on building a collective soon so that should be cool.

In what city did you start painting in the streets?

My first time ever was in Hialeah track-side awhile back, I remember we were painting and got ran out by the police I was there with another friend of mine named Chino and when those lights hit us, we booked it man. It was scary and my friend hasn't gone out since but to me it was fucking exhilarating and from that day on 4EVRLOST was born. HA!

Do you feel your work has influenced the community in return? If so, how? Is there a relationship between the artist and the community in which they work?

My work, I believe has had it’s influences on people. It tends to bring a nostalgic, childish and mischievous feeling especially since it resembles a Jack-O-Lantern. So I'm quite happy about that. For the most part I still think my virus is extremely misunderstood. Is there a relationship? Of course there is. It’s just a piece of an artist's mind let free out into the world to become seeds in the mind’s of everyone that comes across it.

Did you go to school or are you self taught?

I do go to school for art but I have been taught alot on my own and thru other artists. It’s really helped me tremendously to learn from both the streets and the institution.

How did you get started in the arts and why?

I've always been into art but didn't really think I could make a career out of it until I got a lot older and somebody told me, “hey you know you can do this right?” I was like wait? What!? So, from then on I took on my calling. But it really wasn't until my mom was so emotional that she cried, telling me that I must follow my dreams. That way I won't wake up every morning regretting all the choices that I've made. Ever since then I promised her that I would always follow my dreams no matter how big and ridiculous they may seem. So a little piece of advice to everyone reading this. FUCK EVERYBODY AND DO YOU! YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN MAKE YOURSELF HAPPY! SO DO WHAT YOU LOVE!

How long have you been working in the streets?

I've been on the street for about two years now.

Who or What inspires you the most?

A better question would be what doesn't inspire me, haha! But seriously though I am truly inspired by all the flaws that our society carries, things like drugs, sex, violence, poverty, greed. All the things that satisfy our material lust but leaves our soul yearning for that true love which is not in a person but happiness.

What should the general public know about street art? What stereotype about street art/graffiti do you hate the most?

STREET ART IS NOT GRAFFITI!!! WE ARE NOT THE FUCKING SAME!!! IT'S TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT WORLDS!!! And that has been your public service announcement for the day! ;D

Are you a full time artist? Do you have a day job? Is it best to be full time artist or not worry about it and make your $ elsewhere, that way you can paint what and how you want, which one offers a more creative outlook?

Yes I'm a full time artist and if I have to, I’ll pick up something here and there. Well, when it comes to being a full time artist it is definitely better and a million times more creative and free. Once the time is right and what I mean by that is, make sure you have a strong and supportive enough of a fan base to be able to help you live and that will actually buy your work. Also make sure your very business savy as well especially if you get stuck.

What are you working on now?

I'm working on my solo show with Street Art Dubai which I gotta say is truly pushing my limits as I transfer from paper to canvass I'm discovering new technique that I never really would've thought. So I am definitely quite happy about that.

What do you hope to achieve or accomplish by putting your work in the street?

By putting my viruses on the street I plan on infecting every single human being with that virus in their mind so they too can become a part of the FOREVERLOST Army. To spread my message and nostalgic mischief that only a face like mine can bring! HAHA SOCIETY IS F O R E V E R L O S T.......
